IQC — Incoming Quality Control
Every batch of incoming material is sampled to AQL 2.5 Level II before touching the production line. Lithium cells undergo 100% IR and voltage sorting — cells deviating beyond 3 mΩ internal resistance or 0.02V open-circuit voltage are rejected. Frame tubing is checked with ultrasonic thickness gauges; weld coupons from each steel batch undergo tensile testing. Motor stators are tested for winding resistance and insulation breakdown at 500V DC before lacing. Sub-supplier shipments that fail IQC twice in a quarter trigger an on-site supplier audit within 14 days.
IPQC — In-Process Quality Control
QC inspectors are stationed at 14 checkpoints across the assembly line, not in a separate lab. Torque verification is performed on every safety-critical fastener — handlebar clamp bolts at 25 N·m, axle nuts at 40 N·m, brake caliper mounts at 18 N·m — with digital torque wrenches that log readings to the unit's quality passport. Battery BMS functional testing checks overcharge protection at 54.6V, over-discharge cutoff at 36V, and short-circuit response under 200 µs. After the waterproof seal is applied to the battery compartment, every unit undergoes a pre-IPQC pressure-decay leak test at 3 kPa for 15 seconds before moving to the next station.
OQC — Outgoing Quality Control
Before cartoning, every completed vehicle runs a full dynamometer cycle: acceleration from 0-25 km/h in under 6.8 seconds at 75 kg load, cruise efficiency mapping at 15/25/32 km/h, and brake force distribution verification. The unit then enters the IP54 spray chamber — 360-degree water spray at 10 L/min for 3 minutes from all angles while the electrical system remains powered. Finally, a 2 km road simulation on a chassis dynamometer validates real-world ride behavior: throttle response linearity, brake cutoff function, and display readout accuracy. Packaging then undergoes a 1.2 m drop test on 3 edges before the carton is sealed.

Motor Dynamometer
0-3000W measurement range with efficiency mapping from 30% to 100% throttle across 0-45 km/h equivalent speed. Torque curves, power output, and system efficiency are plotted for every new motor batch — acceptance threshold is 82% peak efficiency minimum for hub motors and 78% for mid-drive units.
Battery Thermal Chamber
Programmable -20°C to 60°C environment with 0.5C and 1C charge/discharge cycling. Each new cell supplier must pass 200 cycles at 45°C with less than 15% capacity fade before approval. Production packs are sampled at 1 per 200 units for full thermal profile validation.
IP54 Water Spray Chamber
360-degree spray array delivering 10 L/min water volume from 12 nozzles. Vehicles are tested with electrical systems powered on for 3 continuous minutes. Post-spray insulation resistance must exceed 1 MΩ at 500V DC between battery terminals and frame ground.
Brake Test Bench
Hydraulic and mechanical brake systems tested on dual-disc and drum configurations. Measures 50-0 km/h stopping distance on a simulated 0.7µ road surface — acceptance threshold is 4.2 m or less for e-bikes with 160 mm rotors and 3.8 m for 180 mm rotors at 75 kg total system mass.

Three Lines of Defense Against Defects
Defects are caught at the gate where they occur — not downstream where they cost more to fix. Our three-tier defect management system has maintained zero major field recalls since our founding in 2012.
IQC Rejection Rate: 0.8%
Every incoming material batch is sampled to AQL 2.5 Level II before it reaches the production floor. Lithium cells undergo 100% IR and voltage sorting — cells outside the 3 mΩ IR window or 0.02V voltage delta are rejected to a quarantine bin and returned to the supplier within 48 hours. Frame tubing is checked with ultrasonic thickness gauges at 6 measurement points per tube; any wall thickness below 1.8 mm (for 6061 aluminum) triggers a full batch hold. Sub-suppliers with two IQC failures in a quarter receive an on-site audit within 14 days. Since 2022, our incoming rejection rate has averaged 0.8% across all material categories — well below the industry benchmark of 1.5-2.5% for e-mobility manufacturing.
IPQC Hourly Patrol Inspection
QC inspectors patrol each assembly line once per hour — not once per shift. At each patrol, they pull the last completed unit from the line and check 14 critical-to-quality parameters: handlebar clamp torque (25 N·m ± 2), axle nut torque (40 N·m ± 3), brake caliper mount torque (18 N·m ± 1.5), battery connector insertion force, display boot sequence, throttle zero-point voltage, brake cutoff switch continuity, spoke tension uniformity (≤15% variance across all spokes on the same wheel), tire pressure, folding mechanism lock engagement (where applicable), chain tension, derailleur indexing across all gears, lighting circuit current draw, and horn sound pressure level at 1 meter. Readings are recorded on a tablet and linked to the hour's production batch. If any parameter falls outside the control limit, the inspector stops the line and the production supervisor conducts a root-cause investigation before the line restarts — typically resolved within 15 minutes.
OQC AQL 1.0 Standard
Our outgoing quality control applies AQL 1.0 Level II — a tighter standard than the AQL 2.5 commonly used in the industry. For a 200-unit production batch, AQL 1.0 Level II means we sample 50 units and accept zero critical defects, zero major defects, and at most one minor defect (compared to AQL 2.5 which allows 3 minor defects on the same sample size). Critical defects are defined as: electrical system failure (motor, controller, BMS, display), brake system failure at any wheel, structural frame crack or weld defect, battery pack swelling or voltage anomaly, and any condition that poses a safety risk to the end user. Major defects include: cosmetic damage visible at 1 meter, incorrect accessory fitment, non-functional secondary feature (bell, reflector, mudguard), and packaging non-conformance. If a batch fails OQC, 100% of units are re-inspected and the root cause is fed back to the IPQC station responsible — closing the quality loop within the same shift.
