Every Milestone Defined and Tracked
Inquiry & Requirements
Client provides: target market, product type, estimated annual volume, target price range, certification requirements. EBIKE delivers: product recommendation shortlist (2-3 models), rough price range, compliance feasibility check within 3 business days.
Specification & Quotation
Client confirms: selected model or custom brief, customization requirements (branding, color, specs), target FOB price. EBIKE delivers: detailed specification sheet, commercial proforma invoice, production timeline Gantt chart, payment terms.
Sample Production
7-15 days for stock samples, 25-30 days for customized samples. EBIKE produces sample units matching final specifications, including all branding and custom colors. Client evaluates sample and provides written approval or modification requests. Sample fee credited against production order.
Mass Production
25-35 days after 30% deposit receipt. Material procurement (cells, motors, frames from approved supplier list), assembly line scheduling, 26-point QC at each stage, weekly progress updates with photos. Client milestone: confirm packaging artwork, confirm shipping method, arrange pre-shipment inspection (optional).
Inspection & Approval
2-3 days before shipment. Options: (A) EBIKE provides detailed inspection report with photos and test data per unit; (B) Client visits factory for on-site inspection; (C) Third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas, TUV) at client's cost. EBIKE corrects any non-conformance before release.
Shipping & Delivery
Varies by destination (see Shipping page). EBIKE handles: container booking, dangerous goods declaration, customs export clearance, all shipping documents (B/L, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, UN 38.3 reports). Client handles: import customs clearance, local delivery.

Sampling is the most critical step before mass production. We offer three sample tiers with clear pricing, timelines, and credit policies — no hidden fees, no fine print.
Catalog Sample
$80 – $120 / Unit · 3–5 Days Dispatch
Pick any stock model from our catalog and receive it exactly as shown on the website — no modifications, no branding. The unit is pulled from finished goods inventory, passes a fresh 26-point QC inspection, and ships via DHL/FedEx within 3-5 business days. Ideal for first-time buyers who want to evaluate build quality, ride feel, and finish before committing to customization. Sample fee is credited 100% against your first production order of 50+ units. Each catalog sample includes the full compliance document package for your target market at no extra charge — so your compliance team can review EN 15194 or UL 2849 test reports alongside the physical unit.
Custom Sample
$250 – $400 / Unit · 12–18 Days
Your chosen model with your branding applied: frame color in your Pantone/RAL code, logo decals on frame downtube and head tube, branded display boot screen, custom packaging artwork, and your language user manual. The custom sample represents exactly what your production units will look like — same paint booth, same decal process, same QC checkpoints. This is the sample you photograph for your website and show to your retail buyers. A detailed photo report is sent before dispatch so you can confirm every visual detail remotely. Sample fee is credited 100% against your first production order of 100+ units. For Tier 3 and Tier 4 ODM projects (see Design Guides), the sample timeline extends to 25-30 days due to mold fabrication lead time.
Pre-Production Sample (PPS)
Free with Production Order · 5–7 Days Before Mass Run
After you approve the custom sample and place a production order (30% deposit paid), we produce one final pre-production sample pulled from the first units off the actual production line — not a separate sample bench. This is the "golden sample" that defines the quality standard for your entire production batch. It is signed off by both you and our QC manager, then sealed and kept in our quality office as the reference standard for every OQC inspection during your production run. There is no charge for the PPS — it is included in your production order. If the PPS reveals any deviation from the approved custom sample, we correct it before the mass production run starts, absorbing the rework cost on our side.

All sample shipments include UN 38.3 documentation for battery air freight clearance. Sample payment via T/T, PayPal, or Alibaba Trade Assurance.
