OEM Options

The cargo box is the defining component of this vehicle and our OEM program treats it as a blank-slate engineering project for every order. We fabricate boxes in welded aluminum sheet for corrosion resistance and weight savings, galvanized steel for impact-heavy duty cycles, or insulated sandwich panel construction for cold-chain food and pharmaceutical delivery. Box configurations range from a simple fixed flatbed with stake sides to a three-way drop-side body that converts to a flatbed in seconds, and a hydraulic tipper mechanism for construction material, agricultural produce, or waste collection applications. Refrigeration units from 12V DC compressor systems maintain a 2–8 degrees Celsius cold chain for last-mile grocery and medical deliveries. On the drivetrain, motor power scales from 800W for flat urban routes to 1200W with hill-climb gearing for cities built on steep terrain. Battery chemistry defaults to NMC but we strongly recommend LFP for operators in tropical or desert markets where pack longevity under thermal stress matters more than energy density. Fleet-focused options include GPS tracker integration with geofencing, a reverse alarm for warehouse safety compliance, and a solar panel roof that trickle-charges the auxiliary battery to extend daily range by 8–12 km.

Certifications

CE RoHS UN 38.3 ISO 9001 ECE R10 (EMC)

Cargo tricycles straddle commercial vehicle regulations in many jurisdictions, so we provide the ECE R10 electromagnetic compatibility certification as standard on every unit — this is the same EMC standard applied to four-wheeled commercial vehicles and it satisfies the radiated and conducted emissions requirements that customs authorities in the EU, GCC, and ASEAN regions increasingly enforce on electric cargo carriers. CE marking covers the full electrical system including the motor controller's surge protection and the BMS cell-balancing logic. RoHS documentation traces every solder joint, connector pin, and PCB substrate in the vehicle's electronics to compliant material declarations. The larger battery packs used in cargo configurations (72V 40Ah) undergo UN 38.3 testing with specific attention to the crush and impact tests, given the higher stored energy compared to passenger variants. Our ISO 9001:2015 certified assembly line maintains a per-vehicle inspection checklist that covers weld integrity on the cargo subframe, torque verification on all chassis fasteners, and a loaded road test with 300 kg of ballast to confirm brake balance and motor thermal behavior under real-world duty cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cargo E-Tricycle FAQ

The EU L2e vehicle classification limits cargo tricycles to 300 kg payload including the driver. Non-EU markets such as Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America accept the full-rated 500 kg payload capacity. The frame, motor, and battery are identical between both variants — the difference is purely regulatory, not mechanical. We supply the appropriate compliance plate and documentation package per destination market at no additional cost. When placing your order, specify the target market and we configure the vehicle nameplate, user manual, and declaration of conformity accordingly.

Cargo box customization is the single most important specification decision for this platform. Available configurations:

  • Standard aluminum drop-side: 150–500L, three-way drop gates, corrosion-resistant. No lead time impact.
  • Steel box with hinged lid: Lockable, weatherproof, ideal for valuable goods. +5 days lead time.
  • Insulated box (40 mm PU foam): Passive cold chain for food and pharmaceutical delivery. +10–15 days.
  • Refrigerated box with compressor: Active 2–8°C temperature control, 12V DC compressor. +15 days.

All box types receive custom color painting and logo/branding included at 50+ units. Custom dimensions outside our standard range (150–500L) require a one-time engineering fee of $300–500 for CAD drawing and jig adjustment, credited on orders of 100+ units.

For fleet operations exceeding 80 km per day, we recommend the 72V 40Ah LFP battery option — delivering 2,000+ charge cycles and 50–80 km range under a 200 kg load. Key fleet battery management strategies:

  • Opportunity charging: LFP chemistry accepts partial charging without memory effect, allowing 20–30 minute top-ups during driver meal breaks to extend daily range by 15–20 km.
  • Dual-battery-ready chassis: Available at +$80 frame modification. Supports hot-swappable battery packs so one pack charges while the other is in use, enabling true 24/7 fleet operation.
  • BMS data logging (CAN bus): Optional module that records charge/discharge cycles, cell voltage deviation, and pack temperature. Fleet managers access this data via a USB-C port for predictive maintenance scheduling.

For single-shift operations covering under 60 km daily, the standard 60V 32Ah NMC pack is sufficient and more cost-effective. We help you model total cost of ownership across battery chemistries during the quotation phase.

How to Order

Cargo E-Tricycle Ordering Guide

Cargo tricycles ship with the cargo box removed and flat-packed separately for space efficiency. The chassis ships in a welded steel crate measuring approximately 260 x 120 x 145 cm.

  • 20GP container: 8–10 units (chassis only, boxes flat-packed separately)
  • 40HQ container: 20–24 units standard; up to ~30 complete units with boxes nested for maximum density
  • Box packing: Cargo boxes flat-packed on pallets, nested to reduce volume. Reassembly at destination takes approximately 45 minutes per unit with basic hand tools
  • Sea freight: 30–40 days to major ports (Rotterdam, Los Angeles, Dubai, Mombasa, Santos)
